July to 3rd August
Hampden park was once known as the world’s largest stadium
seating over 52,025
This 3rd largest multi -sporting event which is
held every 4 years first came in to production in 1930 and has been carried out
ever since apart from 1942 and 1946 due to world War II.
The games consist of 17 sports these include Aquatics,
Athletics, Badminton, Boxing, Cycling, Gymnastics, Hockey, Judo, Lawn Bowls,
Netball, Rugby Sevens, Shooting, Squash, Table Tennis, Triathlon,
Weightlifting, Wrestling. If you would like to know more information about the

Halliday Lighting are currently providing lighting solutions for Hampden Park and the
Glasgow National Hockey Centre where the main Hockey, Track and Field
competitions will be held.
