New Floodlights for Lymm RFC provided by Halliday Lighting 

At the switch-on, Simon Plumb, Lymm RFC President, Martin Wroe,Cheshire RFU President,John Cartwright,Chairman, Lymm FC and Bill Beaumont, Chairman of the RFU.

One of England’s former captains and British Lions Bill Beaumont was there to switch on the new Lymm RFC Floodlights.
The Chairman of RFU and ruby legend was optimistic in the future of club stating that improvements like these are the way forward.


Host of the Cheshire Cup final Lymm watched as Sale FC won the cup against Caldy RUFC 26 -21.

The Club's President Simon Plumb mentions in his review Lymm have struggled with insufficient floodlights for years and this investment will be a great help when training.

Lymm RFC generates funds through activity from volunteers and the Lymm Grass Roots Appeal which go directly into improving the rugby club’s organisation. 

Lymm Grass Roots Sports Appeal raised enough money for the project.

Bill Beaumont comment :

 ‘Lymm is a great example of how to run a sustainable, amateur, community-centred rugby club. This is the way to do it!’ he said. ‘They get my wholehearted support and I congratulate them.’
